…and desire to make a meaningful impact in the world around you. The School of Christian Formation (SCF) was created to help you mature as a disciple and emerge as a confident and competent servant leader.

Here’s what to expect:

  • In-class learning experience on the GenU campus with like-minded disciples who take seriously their spiritual growth and development.

  • Quality instruction from local and national teachers.

  • In-depth study, discussion and projects that help you integrate the curriculum into your life.

Here’s how it works:

  • Each GroupLife semester, a course will be offered that counts toward earning a certificate

  • Complete the following three courses to earn a certificate in Christian Spiritual Formation

    • Spring: The Christ-Formed Life

    • Summer: The Wisdom of the Desert

    • Fall: The Art of Slowing

  • Courses are 10-11 weeks long on Wednesday nights inline with the GroupLife semester

  • Kids/Student Ministries provided

Requirements

  • Complete the application and interview.

  • Attend church on a regular basis.

  • Attend at least 70% of classes.

  • Demonstrate effort and complete all assignments. This is not about grades; it’s about growth.

  • Pay the non-refundable $100 course fee (due upon acceptance), which covers materials and instruction for one semester. Need-based scholarships available.
