What:
Generations United Church operates a Cold Night Emergency Shelter, providing safe refuge for families with children and elderly residents during dangerously cold weather conditions in the Niceville area.
The shelter, located at 108 Hwy 85 N, Niceville, will operate when temperatures drop below 41°F. The church will utilize its existing GroupLife Building off Niceville Avenue.
Volunteers will staff the shelter during operating hours.
Services provided:
Warm, secure overnight accommodations
Personal cots and bed linens
Warm Dinner
Morning Breakfast
Basic hygiene facilities and hygiene kits
Connection to community resources and support services
Safe, supervised environment for children
Accessibility accommodations for elderly guests
Operating Hours:
8pm to 6am on nights when temperatures meet activation criteria.
